Constipation

Constipation manifests as hard stools that are difficult to get rid of or that come on several days apart. In addition, you may also have hidden constipation, which is shown by the fact that you only get rid of a little stool at a time, but not enough, which leads to it standing and stasis in the intestine. In addition to the physical discomfort, such as stomach ache, stomach cramps or having a constant feeling of having to go to the toilet but not being able to, it is not good for health to have constipation.

SYMPTOMS

Pain and bleeding associated with bowel movements, abdominal pain and discomfort. In addition, lack of detoxification will often manifest itself as a headache. General discomfort in the body, sadness and loss of appetite are also seen.

TREATMENT IN THE PUBLIC HEALTH SYSTEM

The doctor is trying to find the cause of the constipation. The most important thing is to find out whether there are more serious disorders such as cancer. The doctor may recommend a coarse and high-fiber diet, more exercise and various laxatives to relieve constipation.

CAUSES

The cause of constipation can be a simple cause or an interplay of several factors. Often it can be due to a limited intake of fluids or dietary fiber, excessive protein intake, use of drugs that have a constipating effect, irregular bowel habits and poor physical activity. In addition, overgrowth of fungi and bacteria can also be causes.

NORDIC CLINICS TREATMENT

Treatment at Nordic Clinic will include a coverage of the causes as well as a dietary guide that not only focuses on the current problem, but which will also provide the patient with tools to strengthen their health in the future. A stool sample will identify a possible overgrowth of fungus, inappropriate presence of bacteria and parasites, and these imbalances will be used as a starting point for future treatment. In addition, it will be relevant to find out if lactic acid bacteria and digestive enzymes are sufficient for a complete breakdown of the diet, and if there are other factors that interfere with digestion. This could be, for example, food intolerances and reactions to gluten.
